In his reel, the celebrity chef opens a packet of frozen French fries and empties some into a plate. Then, he decided to seal the packet of leftover fries. For this, he takes inspiration from a viral Internet trend. Using a pair of scissors he cuts a U-shape in the middle of the packet. This leaves the packet with an opening on two ends. Chef Kunal Kapur easily ties them together and seals the packet in no time.

While this hack is super easy and just requires a pair of scissors, Netizens weren’t impressed. Many took the comments section to request Kunal Kapur not to promote this hack as they didn’t find it eco-friendly. In their opinion, the small piece of micro-plastic cut from the packet is not recyclable. And it can add to plastic pollution.

@shubhratyagi comments “Please don’t promote this, the microplastic you are cutting off will not be recycled and will only land in oceans harming the aquatic life “.@_zareenfatima says, “Lets better not cut the plastic pieces, the tiny stuff is hard to recycle.” @mukkeshh03 quips, “Plz finish the whole packet of fries to save the environment”.
